This is Halifax's colossal centre for the arts. Dean Clough accommodates eight exhibition spaces with a commitment to exhibit contemporary art and design. Halifax seems to house more Victorian architecture than any town or city in the UK. The Wainhouse Tower became locally known as the 'Tower of Spite' resulting from a feud between Sir Henry Edwards and Victorian Industrialist John Edward Wainhouse.
